When I had my sensor go down a generic OBD reader did not pick up any codes but VIDA did. Replaced the sensor and all fine now (it was a pain of a job at the screw holding the sensor in was bent, I had strip down the brake disk/caliper & shield to access it)

Generic OBD is purely for engine, won't do squat for other modules on the vehicle.

I've just had same messages in mine, various codes with Vida....although all 4 wheel speeds do appear to read just fine.
Haven't had a chance to take it apart and look at it though.

2015 V60 Polestar, ABS and ESC disabled (related, I know) dash lights on. Checked NSF speed sensor, seemed to be faulty, no continuity between the 2 pins. I'm not so sure now. Anyhow, changed it, an epic adventure, it really did not want to be removed like the disc in order to get more access.

Result; ABS light still on.

Bought a code reader, recorded a fault with the OSF sensor. What the hell I thought, I cleared the code to see what happened.

ABS light still on. Restarted the engine, ABS light gone, hasn't reappeared after 350 miles. I can only assume it was a spurious error message due to a glitch in the electronics. A real worry re safety, ABS and Esc disabled even though there was nothing wrong.

The warning lights appear to be built in by Volvo income generators for the dealers !

Hi Graham,

Can you explain how you test the speed sensors and exactly where they are? I've got ABS and DSTC lights on my XC60 and I'd like to try to eliminate as many things as possible before going to dealer.

Thanks,

PC

Without a scope or some diagnostic tools...testing perhaps not so easy.

For some idea...

Had this on mine plus it also disabled the ACC.

Locked the car leaving the bonnet open, left it for 30 minutes to shut down and then disconnected the battery. All the lights went out and they only message was City Safe Service required. Tried the above again but same result.

Finally took it to the dealer on Friday who did a diagnostic check and just rebooted the City Safe and message cleared. Still Ok.

Best of all I was not charged anything.

Default City Safety Code

I had that code. I would just clear it using the reset button on the light arm. I brought the car into the dealership. I asked them to check it out, along with other things. He told me my toll transponder, suctioned cupped to the top middle of the windshield, was interfering with the front camera. I didn't realize I had a front camera. He moved the transponder. Now there is no longer an error code.
