I would get deffo a crime reference number and report to your insurance as said before. Where you go forward from there is a tough one, although, do you have Lost Keys with your insurance company? its normally an addon so it would be sommat you would know about.

They should have, at the very least, public liability, you could go through your insurance and leave it all up to them to investigate but then the cost will need to be recouped from you so the premiums will go up, catch 22 in that regard.

There is no way of telling if it was a deliberate act or not, you could wait longer for the FB/twitter idea, but then it would be very prudent to get that lock for the steering wheel, the disk type, not the bar type, there is one for the pedals too....

I am a bit confused to be honest, when they gave the key to another customer, how did that customer drive away with your key, surely the workers still had the other customers key?, or did they give 2 keys to 1 customer? if that's the case then surely that customer would have realised that they should only have the 1 key?

Have ya been back again to see if the other customer has taken your key back? dont rely on them ringing you up....

Good luck with it all, i dont like using them myself, they always want to charge me extra cause my car is dirty, HUH, whats that all about lol?

"Hamlet." Act I, Scene 4: Marcellus (an officer) says "Something is rotten in the state of Denmark," having just seen the ghost of Hamlet's father, the late king of Denmark. The phrase means "things are unsatisfactory; there is something wrong."

Two keys or not two keys, that is the question.

That's also my sum total knowledge of Hamlet because i had to study Julius Caesar for my English Lit exam.

Macbeth for my GCE O level back in the day. Three witches, a skull and Lady Macbeth’s bosoms.
