That was cringeworthy, 'L.S.'!

Didn't do Spokeshave at school, but studied Dickens (Great Expectations (Old)) and Shute (Trustee from the Toolroom (Modern)) instead. I must admit that while this may have put me off the former, it gave me a life-long liking for the latter - I still quite frequently pick up and reread his works today.

Regards, John.

I can't take the blame for it John, just pointing out the analogy being used.

I also had to do Chaucer (The Pardoners Tale) and George Orwell (1984) as well as Caesar. I still read 1984 from time to time, there always seems to be either something new or something that i see in a new way.

On the infrequent occasions I get the car washed, I sit in the car and observe the process.
At the local chez Morrison car spar sitting in the car expedites the washing process.

Never had a problem with the keys disappearing during a car wash.

Fill the bucket, dip the sponge and keep keys in my pocket. Result!

The car wash company will be responsible. Worryingly the workers at this car wash seemed to think they work for Morrison's. It seems impossible to find who is in charge as they point to each other like a Mexican stand-off, and there is no company info ether.
I can see us having to for out for key reprogramming and a new key from our own pocket.
God knows what possessed her to want a car wash in the first place, and then to leave her keys with them as well...
Actually these people pay at least rent to Morrisons so Morrisons will have a record of who owns the business. Don't let the bu66ers fob you off...

Remember. If you report to your insurers you WILL pay more on your premium REGARDLESS of whether they pay out or not.
They justify this by saying they MIGHT pay out and even if they've written to you to say they wont!

Insurance & integrity should never be used in the same sentence

Are the "Lost Keys" like the window repairs and not affect the main insurance?
Never added the lost key addon myself so i don't know, i just know that claiming for screen damage does not affect it as i have claimed on the more than once in my life, normally after buying another car and it coming with wiper damage

The car wash company made the mistake, they are liable for the consequences.

Front up to them and tell them they must cover the costs of their error.

Get new keys made (for all the keys on the key ring) and old keys disabled, locks changed etc. to ensure continued security of all property affected by the keys on the "lost" keyring.

Give the bill to the car wash company and demand immediate payment.

The car wash company pays you, and the car wash company makes a claim on their own public liability insurance (if they want, that's their decision)

Succinct advice. Chase em down because someone somewhere is making money from that operation.

In my experience that's no longer the case.
