I often see it in Lidl toom it is nice to see them about and nice to see there are owners local to me on here. On most car forums everyone seems to be miles away IMO.

No you didn't!

No such animal exists! More likely a P reg 940 as the 740 was discontinued in early 1992 and P is 96/97 - also it's illegal to fit a number plate that suggests the car is newer than it actually is. In other words you can't put an F registration (1988/9) on a 1986 (D) registered car but you can put a D registration on a 1988 car if it's a "cherished" plate.

Sorry I’m not sure why I wrote 740 your right was defo a 940. Looked minty as well.

When I look at the 700/900 against today’s cars I can never if it looks big or small?

Maroon red 940 estate in wareham town. It’s the one I mentioned I’ve seen quite often. Driven by an older gentleman. Looked pretty good condition but I will get a closer look when he isn’t getting into the car.

I wondered if it was a late night brain-fart causing a typo Chris.

The 7/9xx is ~15'9" x 5'9" (some models are slightly different but that's a good approximation) so against the likes of todays cars, it's bordering on medium/small. Depending on the model, they weigh in at 1200-1500kg give or take. Compare that to a lot of todays small cars and suddenly it's a lightweight!

Just spied a lovely regent red N reg 940 SE estate purring through Sherborne as I was walking back home. Surely some of the owners of these beasts must be forumers?
