Default Lights left on alert

I'm rather surprised that there is not an audible alarm to tell you that you've left the lights on after switching off the engine and removing the remote.

I can't see anything in the setup menus which allows you to do this - or am I missing something?

I just leave the light switch all the way to the right. No alarm but the lights are as they should be for the UK.

Then I drive my wide's Audi with no lights........ooops

You cannot leave the headlights on as they switch off when you remove the key. You can leave the parking lights on by pushing the indicator stalk to left or right, but that will not flatten the battery

Just tried setting the indicator stalk on my 2010 car with the switch on side lights but both sides still all remain on. Would be useful if you could indicate on one side only as many cars do.

I prefer driving with the light setting to the left because this gives you the ability to "flash". Just put to right when you need to leave on un-dipped beam.

you can flash with them with the switch to the right too. although it's easy to accidentally flick full beam on... i've done it a couple of times.

Put the indicator stalk to left or right then you will only have the lights on one side

I do often wonder why the xc60 has a light switch. As darb said you can still flash and put high beam on when turned to the right.

This does not appear to work on my vehicle. Putting the indicator stalk to either left or right still leaves both parking lights on. Light switch over to the left on DTR lights position.!!!!

Just out of interest my Dealership did a software change so the off position does actually turn them off rather than daylight running.
