I totally agree it's nice to see such fairly plain now rare cars in great condition. My other car is an Allegro and there are not many of those left.
The ad says it was a nut and bolt resto by the previous owner who had it 20 odd years and it is in concourse winning condition. Sounds as thought it may have been really well looked after and cleaned, as opposed to having been restored.

Has yours got the "quartic" steering wheel? I noted this ad had referred to a nut & bolt restoration - I think that must be someone's assumption. Having seen this car a number of times at VOC gatherings, it really is just down to a labour of love and minute attention to detail on Jeff's part. I hope it finds the loving home it deserves. David

Thanks, mine is a series 2, only the series 1 had the quartic steering wheel. But at shows you always get asked where is the quartic! Mine is rust free as it was wax oiled from new and only has 50k miles but you're right, most have rusted away.
I don't normally look in the 400 section of this forum, I only did so as I was thinking it would be nice to have a 480!

Believe me - it is nice to have a 480! Once you've had one, with all their faults (bless 'em), it is hard to live without one. You'll find many (like myself) who have tried to give them up before but always end up with another one! Best David

We've been discussing this one on the 480 Europe forum. I cannot see a lot different with it to mine, so (although mine is not for sale of course) perhaps I am undervaluing it...? Do you know if "your" 460 has a new home yet? David
