Water dripping from front drivers corner
Noticed water dripping this morning as I got to work. Assumed it was the AC condenser but it hasnt stopped 3 hours later! I caught some in a bowl... just clear water.
I checked the coolant level.. still at max. What could it possibly be??? right on the front corner, drivers side. Last edited by elzorillo; Jul 11th, 2018 at 12:06. |

No idea I had headlight washers to be honest. Popped into my local garage who suspect AC condenser water had collected in tray under engine and was slowly dripping out from the corner. Seems to have stopped now and as coolant level still full hopefully they're right.

The colour and smell tends to give it away. Unless the washer fluid had only been filled with water the last few times, it will have an alcoholic type smell and possibly a colour tinge, whereas coolant has its own distinctive smell and colour from the antifreeze, usually like a sweet smell. If it's clear and odourless, it probably will be water which can only really come from the a/c.

I may be water vapor that's condensed on the outside of AC condenser & then dripped onto the undertray. When you've stopped it's dripping through.
As mentioned Screen Wash & Coolant both smell & tend to have a colour.

Looks like the washers, mine did that too. When the weather was hot the washers would leak. I sent it into the dealer annnd the leak stopped miraculously So I left it alone but it looks like your washers leaking

I know this is an old post, but I believe I have a similar leak: water coming from the the front drivers side, and 'low washer level' pretty quickly after filling up the tank.
Does anyone know how to get to the headlight washer hose, and fix or replace ? It doesn't seem to be readily accessible ? |
