  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

ok did what you said...it did click and everything else seems to be ok so it isnt looking like a problem with the vacuum valve...from looking at the engine all seems well there...only thing that looks to not be quite right is a slow oil leak from the transmission...i dunno if this is a problem or just to put it down to wear and tear....any other ideas?

Oil leak from the transmission will have no relevance to whether it changes up or down or overrevs. Did you say that you didn't notice a difference when you put the low gear hold on at 20 mph. Did you get vacuum from all the ports at different times? Are there any other running problems with the car?

no difference with low gear hold on that i noticed ...yes there is vacuum from all ports..and no otherrunning problems that i am aware of

If you switch the low gear on with the engine running do you get vacuum from the correct port on the 4 way valve? When you said you get vacuum from all the holes? Is that all the time?

The OP hasn't been on since 2011, if you aren't on Volvo300mania then you would be best joining it as practically everything you need to know about CVT will be on there.
