Pretty sure the whole dash is the same on both, same goes for the gaiter.

Cool, thanks for advice - so what exactly does the HU655 offer over the HU605? Otherwise not much point replacing.

(Although, I am still thinking of trying the cassette mod to create an aux socket at some point but it just seems a bit messy. Also having tried AudioGalaxy I have discovered it doesn't work so well on the move. Buffering just stops randomly and doesn't recover. It's fine when you're stationary but I need a better solution. "Pre-loading" my phone at home and purchasing a massive 16GB memory card is the obvious answer. Goodness me I waffle sometimes)

btw Gary you might as well stick em on eBay for 99p + P&P rather than bin them? You might be surprised. You might not

Either way 99p listings are free of charge.

Hi BM

Regarding the phone option, I have a Nokia N8, which has a 16GB hard drive built into it for storing music, movies and photos and just worked out how to load music onto it last week.

If you are looking for i-pod connection that is tidy and effective, have a look at this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTRONS-TD7...item20c2f1774d

or this:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XTRONS-TD7...item2c634da59e

Good quality head units at a low cost and 'made for i-pod' too.

A lot better than faffing around with bits of wire, hanging out of the redundant cassette player and you can fit a reversing camera too!!!
