Amazon: - Clutch releases near the floor suddenly...look at?

I don’t drive my 64 Amazon wagon much...around the block once a month or so because the brakes need to be gone through. Yesterday I started it up and the clutch release was abrupt and right by the floor. It shifted fine, just the release point was literally at the floor. Is there something simple to look for? I will check fluid levels...is the brake fluid also used for the clutch? I’m assuming it is so I will check level in the brake fluid reservoir. I was also check for leaks in the slave cylinder and the system. Maybe there is air in the system. Ideas?

Brake and Clutch fluids have separate reservoirs, see your owner's manual! the first thing you should check is Clutch Res level, symptoms suggest it is low...and if near empty, air could have been drawn in, so after topping up, Slave should probably be bled.

Quick update....checked the clutch fluid reservoir and yup...it was nearly dry....topped it off and worked the clutch a bit...started the car and checked the release point..and its back near the top. now as I always say...on to the brakes.

Check for leaks. The fluid is going somewhere.
