Default Advice needed on light washer problem

Hi. I noticed a HUGE puddle of fluid on the floor today, with more pouring down from the underside just after a run in my new 850. I thought a hose must have split there was that much. In the end, figured that because I had ran the windshield washer briefly, that the problem lay there. Turns out that fluid was pouring from a little plastic T junction type connector, just at the side of the radiator, in what looks like a pain in the ar*e location to get at, without taking the front end apart. After using the washer jets, even briefly, the fluid just seems to pour out of this junction for some time following, which obviously feeds the headlamp washers. What should I do??? If I just bung up the feed tube, this will damage the pump I reckon. Does anyone know if they are separate pumps for windshield/lamps? Can I disconnect the pump if they are separate??
Grateful for any suggestions, or if anyone else has had this problem and rectified it without spending a day and a half sorting it. I'm not bothered about the lamp washers btw, so preference is for the quickest fix.
Thanks

Hello,
Possibly the filter is goosed.
If you have no ramps you could pull that side of the car
onto the pavement to elevate it.
My screen wash filter was replaced for my MOT last week. I had similar symptoms.
Others may have different suggestions.
Cheers

I was hoping to disconnect the headlamp washers if poss. So are they part of an MOT? I thought it would just be the windscreen that was.

Hello,
Yes, you are right, they are not part of the MOT unless you had a Xenon upgrade, apparently wash wipe is required for this.
You will be able to disconnect, someone who has done this will be able to tell you how to bung up the headlight hoses or you may have ideas on how to proceed.
Cheers
Ps same pump does all, and i don't think this will cause any damage to it.

that sounds like the fault i had on my 850,washer fluid draining out of the t peice and h/light jets, mine was caused by the t peice near the rad.it is also acts an anti syphon valve, hope that helps

Thats exactly it mate, the little t piece at the side of the radiator. I'm going to disconnect them, as far as I'm aware, the car doesnt have xenon lights, someone mentioned you need them if thats what you have. I think I can live without them!!
Cheers
