Default Water pump?

Hi , Looking at changing the cambelt on my xc90 would you advise a water pump change as a matter of course, mileage 95 thousand

New to volvos so just finding my way thanks

I agree, Given im not paying for labour i shall i think fit a genuine volvo pump as a precaution and at the same time change the coolant and replace the serpentine belt and its associated parts as these seem from what ive gathered a bit suspect at the mileage mines coverered

If the belt is loose the pump is not that much extra labour
Serpentine belt (and rollers) is also useful to replace .If that one snaps it rolls up the timingbelt and seizes it

Yes given the bad rep the aux belt seems to have for taking the cam belt out it seems well worth doing the whole shooting match

Plenty of threads on here saying don't touch the water pump on a Volvo engine as they are bullet proof. My Volvo Indy with 25 years working on Volvos says no need to change.
