Default You think you got troubles?

I have three Volvos - Silver 745 with B234F - Red Sport 745 - Metallic Charcoal 765T.

Grey one is having the aircon sorted - condenser, collector, one remade pipe, stuck flaps - oh and just ate part of the Jetex Exhaust so back box is now a straight pipe. And the uneven braking is back. And the sunshine roof operation is iffy, and the headlamp wipers are out of synch.

Silver one is about to eat exhaust (although she has mostly been good since my daughter wrecked the engine - good job I had a spare on in stock even if it was higher miles.

Red one needs roof and bonnet respray (lacquer peeling) and has just eaten head gasket AND clutch AND she has a bad brake judder problem - AND the aircon condenser I had put on two years ago has gone.

I also need to spend well over £500 on wheel refurbishment.

Ho hum

Default Unions

I reckon that if you have too many they can become militant and form a trade union. I sometimes have 5 or 6 on the road but they all go wrong at the same time.
One out - all out.

They say things come in threes.

Your story has touched my heart

Never before have I met anyone with more troubles than you have.
Please accept this expression of my sincere sympathy.

Now go away and quit bothering me

All in jest - really! This is the content of a 'business card' that I have for handing out to scroungers in any pub - just the 'go away' bit on the card is stated a bit more forcefully.

I think you need my '78, 745 to bring the other three into line. After all 3 is a crowd but 4 is just 2 pairs. See sales section.

Great to see someone keeping 740s on the road so good luck.

Default Some progress, some not.

ECC climate control is currently three jumps ahead of the air conditioning man. First there is a leak from the brand-new special valve that converts R12 systems to R134 ones. Second there is little air out of the centre vents (still). Third, there is something funny with the vacuum controlled heater valve - the system appears not to deliver a vacuum to it but sucking on it moves something inside (but it is still uncertain if that is shutting the water valve right off). Aircon man appears not to know how to read the codes off an ECC system.

Next, 8 Galaxies and 12 tyres delivered to Lepsons to come back as 8 as-new Galaxies and 8 usable tyres on them all trued and balanced. 4 more Galaxies promised to them (they are on a car right now). BUT they decline to relieve the rear of the spokes on my Virgos so they will clear 7 series ABS front calipers so either I fit spacers or I take an angle grinder to my calipers or I give up on the idea of partly shiny partly black Virgos on the 765T.

Ho hum.

Hi
Do not forget what I told you when you got the Bumper. I have a good
selection of fully working Aircon control units, most of which you will find
by looking back through the sales section or PM me with a Volvo parts
number when you find the culprit.
Good Hunting
Bill
