I'd have thought blowing hot air to the windscreen would help demist if the air-con's not working right now.
So if that didn't help, maybe the air has somehow got moisture content? If so, question is where from. Do you know whether the vehicle has the pollen filter fitted under the scuttle panel? Might be worth checking if it's become clogged or waterlogged? There are drain pipes down from the scuttle, if they were clogged, any rain might have been able to enter the blower intake, causing more misting than clearing. That's all I can think of for now I'm afraid. Only 5 or so Torx screws to have a look, might be worth a go? Oh, other thing people report with misty screens is a leaky heater matrix, try a search on here for symptoms/fix if you think it could be that. HTH, Pete

I had exactly the same problem, it was the heater element leaking and therefoe blowing moist air over the windscreen. We bit the bullet and got the AC Evaporator changed at the same time but it was not cheap. 10 hours or so labour and a dash removal job!
Sorry. |
