v8mick New Member Last Online: Feb 27th, 2018 12:38 Join Date: Oct 2014 Location: Derby	Subject to bed A rider to this story is that while I was searching for the flat spot/miss I found that the screw that retains the distributor drive to the camshaft had sheared,, and had been sheared for quite some time (rusty break). It must be a fault with these engines. I ended up drilling and retapping the hole in cam,(7mm I think). Its been fine since. So if you find yourself chasing an elusive miss/flat spot, it may be worth dropping the guts out of the distributor and having a look.
