Default Rear shocks

I have a knocking from drivers rear on any uneven surface. Had a look and couldn't find any worn bushes etc so bought new shocks and springs . Took the old stuff off yesterday and the new springs are the wrong ones ( Be careful if buying online as these were listed as being compatible with my V40 1.9D). The shocks were in very good condition, so upon looking it turned out to be the Rubber top pad (very badly worn) and dust cover cap (badly rusted ).
These parts seem to be a bit of a rarity especially the Dust cover and cap.
Anyone any ideas where to get these from ,found a supplier for the Rubber top pad but the boot ?

Ha, welcome to the x40 suspension minefield!

Best bet for mounts is Volvo really, as other suppliers are likely, as you've discovered, to be wrong and/or not great quality and parts from breakers are likely to be no better than what you have. FRF (search on here) do a discount for forum members and have great service, otherwise try other dealers. They'll want the suspension code from the bulkhead.

Good luck!

Wow, that's great, really cheap.
Do the dustcovers come with the metal cups?
Where did you get your parts?
Cool.

Upon fitting Ihe bits I found that one that one of the bits I need wasn't included. The metal cup (very badly corroded)that the fits into the rubber pad and holds the dustboot. I have found it on an american website $6 each with $45 shipping fee but nothing in the UK. So got to find a Volvo dealer

Did you have any issues removing your suspension bolts etc or did it all unbolt easily?
Thanks Patrick
