C70: - noisy sunroof

hi

i got chance to take my car for a nice drive today but i did notice that when going over the rubble strips in the road comming to a roundabout the sunroof was very noisy, i push upwards on the sunroof and the noise stopped, i dont think its really loose, as it works fine and i havent noticed any leaks, anyone else had this problem?

OH!! Looks like it ME to the rescue AGAIN ....Right then ....

Ash... Sit in yer driving seat & put yer hand above yer head you'll feel/see a Bar going across the sunroof (towards the rear of it) ITS LOOSE!!! & its a SWINE to tighten up the Torx bolts.

to stop it "Rattling" get a HUGE luump of Bluetac or a few rubber washers & stick em between the glass & the Bar ... = NO MORE NOISE!!!

Personally I used a bit of a polystyrene Tile (the gap is only bout 3mm)

If you wanna repair it "Correctly" you'll have to remove the "Runner covers" & tighten up the Torx bolts ... but as I said its a BITCH to do ....

Its not that much of a sod of a job ash takes about 5 mins and you need a longish t25 as I had the same problem

Try some silicone spray on the rubbers that silenced the one on my K reg 850

Hi, thanks for the help everyone, i had a look at lunch at i tightend these screws in the pic, just wanted to know if these were the right ones?

yeah ash there the ones as if the sunroof is to high or to low you can adjust with these

thats great, thank you, ive tightened these so hopefully this will sort the noise

Engine doesn't rattle anymore
