xc90 mileage or age?
I am new to Volvo, having fallen in love with the xc90. So should I be looking for the lowest mileage, or the newest car for my money. I have about £10k and have seen 2004's with 50-70 on the clock for similar prices as 2006/7's with 90 on the clock.
Which is best? |

Some cars have big jobs to be done around the 70k miles mark so it may be worth posting this on the XC90 section to see if that is the case with the XC90. If it is then maybe the car having done 90k miles, assuming this work has been done, would be the better bet. These cars are designed to cope with big miles, especially if it is a diesel, so 90k is nothing as long as it has been serviced regularly.
I would also be slightly wary of old cars that have averaged out at 5-6k miles per year. That would tend to mean short journeys or periods of non use. Short journeys in particular can be very wearing on a car. Personally I would go for the younger car with higher mileage but I can not back that up with hard facts. Best of luck with your choice.
