My 740ET In the background!
I'm selling a Rover Sterling for an aged friend and I polished and photographed it at my place, therefore, my 740ET Wagon is cluttering up the background but hey ho, could be worse background distractions I guess!
Ebay item number:271658664269 Jon PS Slight possibility the 740ET maybe marketed too. The wife and I want to take time out and travel - with our young children before it's too late. Or I may choose to use the 740 as a camper car, ideal tool to explore all of Europe and perhaps even ship it across the pond! Last edited by JCL; Nov 7th, 2014 at 12:09. |

Your 740 looks lovely....what are the details of it out of interest?

That Rover looks well good luck with the sale. 740 looks spot on as usual. New year resolution is to get mine looking as tidy as yours.

Just looked at that Rover again I see it has a Northern Ireland plate, Co Armagh one to be correct. Do you know if it's a private plate or has it made its way over the Irish Sea at some point.

Thanks chaps. Peter well spotted regards the plate. The owner had a Mercedes prior to the rover and transferred the index over. I don't know how it came to be on his merc, before my association with him.
My 740 had had 1 owner before me down here on the island of wight although he was in business and covered most of the 89k miles I inherited on the mainland apparantly. I bought it from him cheaply and rejuvenated it and have spent £900 on it in recent months. It's a long list of parts but worth every penny and it is a well sorted car now. All major service items plus clutch, cambelt, rear springs, jetex exhaust being the larger items. Lixah yes manual with of so the M46. Last edited by JCL; Nov 7th, 2014 at 22:02. |
