Default D5 intercooler, Oil drain.

I have been informed that there is a purpose made hole in the D5 intercooler for oil drain, I am guessing that it is very small. Anyone with ideas, views or pics of this ????? I cant understand the reason as it will draw unmetered air in on idle & push it out on boost.

Here's a link to mine. Its never got any worse. It's just the oil that drips off the tray about once every 2 weeks that gets on my nerves. You have replied to this in its original thread. Been like it for about 5 months now. No smoke or noticable power loss but mpg at about 41mpg on the dash trip.

may be a different explaination for your car..my power loss and mpg where very noticeable a while after i noticed the oil stains..and heavy smoking on hard accelaration was very embarrassing ..has you car had its intercooler pipe replaced ? its possible those stains are the remains of the split before pipe was replaced

I've had it for about 6 months and it still drips every couple of weeks, I think a replaced hose would have dried up by now. It's still the oil drain hole that I'm confused about, Why would they think it had one.
