It is not yet confirmed, but possibly in the Nottingham/Leicester area. I will post when the venue has been confirmed.

Thornton's Field in Belper, or Eye's Meadow in Duffield would be great locations.................

Default Bkv 2009

If thats the case, count me and most of us from the south coast out (again). A 400 miles + round trip on a state pension is OUT, classic Volvo owner or not!
No wonder the Southern BKV is up-and-coming again. However, I'll never understand why, in 2007 I think, the Nationals were almost within spitting distance of the site of the Northern BKV.
Pity, as the major yearly club event is one of the years highlights for us here.

Talking bkv

hi from what ive noticed over the years is that the voc try to please as many people as possible by locating the bkv around the country to suit as many of us as possible ive traveled many a mile from fife in scotland to the bkvs rutland water york ect it would be great for it to be on the door step every year but that would be just selfish towards the members. if its to far then another year will have to do that why we have meets like the northern and the southern to try to please everyone. anyway now we know where it is we can save up for the fuel to go!! cheers gary

I am for the National being moved around the country to give everyone a chance to attend.I have attended many BKV`s over the years and have travelled long distances to attend. It would be fantastic if the National was central for everyone to attend. Feel the VOC have an impossible job to keep everyone happy.

Just a thought. I hope there is going to be camping available at the 2009 BKV.

From what I have heard they alternate the National between north and south so everyone has a chance to attend.

Then there is the northern and southern as well.

I agree camping makes it a good weekend. We took the caravan to the 2007 in York.

If there is camping then my door is open to all to share a drink, I always have a whisky tucked away.
