They should be fitted with shortened dampers to hold the springs in place

We have a tottaly different system for testing cars
It's ridiculous
They will refuse to test your car for example if you do not have your wheel nuts visible
I.e. No hubcaps removed

This makes sense as there was a lot downward travel on the trailing arm

Yes, I noticed. I know Ireland well, but never had a car tested there so that's interesting.

Disconnect the shock and you'll find a lot more downward travel! So much so if you swing it far enough, it comes back with an Australian accent!

Joking aside, shorter shocks to compliment the lowered, presumably uprated springs will not only solve your problem but improve the ride and handling on those springs.

Alternatively fit standards springs and shocks back on as the tab won't hold shortened springs in place at full droop on the "long" standard shocks.
It's a 1mm thick tab of metal about 10mm wide fighting against a 12mm thick piece of coiled spring-steel - no contest comes to mind!

Just be glad your not on the Isle of Man!
It all depends how you hang your mouth here or what the weather is doing on a particular day.
The stuff ive seen is unbeleivable at times, both things that should have passed and failed and then stuff that should have failed and passed.
Its a total joke here.
