Default Best Nappa Leather cleaner / care

My V90 CC has the lovely soft nappa leather (charcoal) which I'm keen to keep looking as nice as possible for as long as possible.

What do people recommend as a cleaning / care product?

Sun shades. It's leather and should be quite durable and need no maintenance. My 20 year old Land Cruiser's grey seats are as good as new and they haven't even had the luxury of shade. An annual clean with a damp cloth and cheap leather wipes every five is all they've had.
How long do you expect to keep the car? 20+ years?

If my blonde nappa seats, door armrests or steering wheel are looking grubby I clean them with wet wipes which have lanolin in them, then feed the leather with Johnsons leather cleaner conditioning cream. Cheap and does the job, leather comes up like new and feels really soft and supple.
AutoGlym also do a good range but more expensive.

Always do my 2009 XC70 with an old 'Connolly Brothers' care kit my dad had for his Rover Sterling (shows the age of it!) and still look great, 6 figure mileage and look way better than many cars with a quarter of that in them.

The Napa is so soft and lovely but it looks like it'll be more prone to creasing in the long term which would be nice to minimise, hence wondering if there was something more up to date to help.... saying that leather is old school so why reinvent the wheel

A damp cloth weekly after vacuuming removes the grit that causes the wear, this is vital.

For £££ you cant beat the ‘Dr Leather’ range.

Take care with baby wipes/ wet wipes they can take the top layer off.

Any ‘conditioner’ type stuff doesnt work on modern leather and makes things worse in the long run.

Dr leather everytime, It's especially useful at removing steering wheel crud!! I use the spray and a microfiber cloth monthly, but the wipes are equally good if a little more expensive. Detailers often use this product, don't be tempted by deep cleansers or conditioners, your leather does not need them. All modern leathers have a spray synthetic finish for colour and protection.

Volvo leather care kit. Its certainly not the cheapest, and I doubt its even the best. However, I started using it a year or two back when others on the forum were having issues with the leather finish coming off on blonde bolsters. The Volvo leather is pretty soft, I'd argue the most fragile I've felt in any car, and I didn't want to start having any issues with mine that Volvo might argue is due to a product I've used on them.

Been using the Volvo Leather Care Kit too (roughly every 6 months), and no issues with the leather in my XC90.

Cardale and Martin stuff is good, aimed at the horsey set for saddles and the like but is the best I have used.

I use gtechniq leather guard which is used by many professional car detailers. I have it in my car and appears a great product. https://www.autogeekonline.net/forum...-phillips.html
