Default C70 Engine sizes question

Sorry if this is a dumb question but I was wondering about the engine sizes that were offered in the C70 (2002 model).

I thought there were three: 2.0 litre, 2.4 litre and the 2.3 T5.

I've seen a car on ebay where the seller says "Volvo C70 T5 Convertible" and "This is the rarer 2.4-litre engine and not the 2.3-litre"

Is he talking nonsense or is there a 2.4 litre T5 model?

Thanks in advance as always.

For 2002 there was a C70 2.4T which had the B5244T 190hp engine, the C70 T5 had the 2.3l 247hp B5234T3 engine

Basically the seller is talking nonsense. The T5 was a 2.3lt.

In the S60/V70 2005+, they did a genuine 2.4 T5 260bhp engine but this never featured in the C70 cars.

In the C70 of that year (as with other 850/S/V70 models) only the 2.3ltr engine was the genuine 240bhp T5 and engine code provided by another contributor above.

Also ITSv40 makes a good point, as I have seen many adverts for C70 MK1 cars advertised as 2.4 T5, 2.5 T5 and this is utter cobblers into fooling prospective buyers who may take a sellers word for it.

Well.... a 2435/2400? FPT does exist in the last of the phase 1 R's but they are rare....

Also a 2 litre t5 exists in other markets...

Yep I am aware of the 260bhp in the rare V70R's but as the OP referred to the C70, it wasn't in those.

Was the 2.0T5 not for the Italian market due to the heavy tax on vehicles over 2.0 ?

Most likely as BMW also did a peppy 320is for the Italian market to compensate for their 2.3 and 2.5 ltr M3's and 325i Sport. So it would make sense.
