Default V40 door lock lazy to release

The drivers side rear door on my year 2002 T4 is lazy to unlock.

Unlocking with the key remote, the other 3 doors all unlock as normal, but drivers rear stays locked.

If I press the remote unlock button several more times, then the ‘button’ at the top of the door card gradually rises, and door unlocked.

Anyone know whether this is the door lock itself? Take the door card off and spray lock unit with WD40 or similar.

Or, is it more involved with electronics, solenoid??

Thanks
Martin

Either the mechanism is a bit dirty/sticky/rusty making the movement a bit harder, or the actual actuator motor is getting a bit lazy, or even the actual pin is getting a bit stuck at the very top. So, you can remove the door card and see if it moves any better. If not, then as you have already suggested, spray a bit of WD40 and see if it helps. If not then either get another complete lock, or just the actuator motor and replace it

Had the same issue with mine a couple of weeks ago and in the end it was the actuator motor
