HI Here are a few points.

1. I have a window mounted Antenna for DAB and although it performers ok , but in town it struggles. Id have definitely gone to the trouble of a correct one.

2. .Do not run a USB cable near the internal Antenna cables or Antenna itself. (this goes for putting dash cams near it also) they interfere with them

3. Use a Adaptor wire to link it new unit to cars wiring.

4. Id go for a known brand like Pioneer with adaptor surround if needed.

5. Chinese ones will work but they spend no time on getting the usability of the item anywhere near to acceptable.

Examples
1. Loudness does not work correctly and boosts wrong frequencies.
2. Radio might not go back to the station you were on when you get back in the car.
3. Bluetooth may not work correctly
4. OSD can be poorly programmed.

One thing you might want to try is if you have an Aux input why not go for a stand alone Dab ??
