The chap on YouTube we know as VolvoSweden has made this video....https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=j-RByaWsms4 and he is fitting the same part number pulley as you albeit on a newer XC70.
He also gives the tool dimensions in the video....

....or there is this entire kit that's not bad money https://www.thetoolacademy.com/seale...6pc-6680-p.asp so you won't get stranded with the wrong size.

You could always sell it on...to someone on here

Indeed, just the satisfaction of knowing it's there in your bigger red tool box is enough.

I can vouch for the company, bought quite a few tools from them in the past.

Are you going to take some pictures and post a tutorial on here...?

By the way this can be done with the alternator in situ. It’s a tight fit but I managed it on my 08 D5.

The job is done, took me 3 hours and is very fiddly.

There is very little i can add to the VolvoSweden video they seem to have covered it in detail, they do omit how very awkward the lower bolt that is above the power steering pump, all done by feel and you will need a very small 10mm ratchet spanner, 80% of the unbolt/bolt up time is on this bolt alone.

This is the pulley for my car 2008 V70 D5

Now i couldnt grasp how to undo the upper connector in this next pic

So before breaking it i managed to carefully wiggle the alternator to this position

And then the rest is as per VolvoSweden.

You will need torx 60 for the tensioner ideally but 55 will do it.

Great job MCFastybloke, especially the pictures.

Good to know the alternator can be laid down without disturbing power connections.

Was much force needed to remove the pulley?
