Hey guys as a newbie to this forum and to volvos , ive a v reg s40 and wanting to pull the measly 1.8 lump out and drop summit else in .Going back to the delights of touring cars back in the late nineties they used the 5 cyl lump but was that turbo or non, also any ideas on suspension setups and drop heights ( will have 18's strapped to it ) and not afraid to pull the arches about.
cheers ted |

Save yourself a lot of money, time and hassle and buy yourself a T4. You could then get back the price of the T4 by selling off your S40 as parts. Just a thought...

i agree, its a lot of hastle. i think the suspension arms need a lot of modifying to fit a 5 pot lump in with the gearbox. if your willing to spend thousands on the car, stick and evo engine and 4x4 drivetrain in like another member on here is doing. if not, just get a t4. touring s40's had a non turbo 5 pot lump i think.
