I've got a microphone on my 99 v40 near the front roof(courtesy) light, this is part of the handsfree kit which was already fitted to the car when i bought it, i also have a little dial/wheel mounted at the side of the stereo to answer calls.
Not sure about alarm sensors on the phase 2 v40's but my phase 1 sensors are mounted in the top corners of the windscreen pillars.
You could try using your mobile to search for bluetooth devices inside your car, if you have a handsfree kit built in your mobile should pick it up.

Hope this helps

My hands free bluetooth in my 99 T is definately not a Volvo factory fitted device, i've looked into it and it's a Nokia CK7-W bluetooth kit.

Like i mentioned in the previous post if you think you may have bluetooth in your car just turn the ignition on then do a bluetooth device search with your mobile phone, if it's fitted your phone should pick it up
