Default Blower wont turn down!

Firstly hello to you all.

As you've guessed i'm new but please dont hold that against me! lol

Now to the problem....

My 51 plate v40 1.9d has developed an annoying habit of having the fan going full blast whenever the car is running. even when switched to 0 it keeps going.

The first time i noticed it happening it I was able to switch the fan off by turning the dial to 0 but now it wont even do that.

Having used the search function it sounds like a blower resistor fault? Does this sound right?

If that is the case can someone point me in the direction of it so I can order one and get it changed.

If you need more info then feel free to ask.

Oh forgot to add the heating/air con side of things works fine it's purely the blower thats playing up.
