Default For sale: BMW 6-speed ZF gearbox with Volvo T5 bell-housing

I have for sale a BMW/ZF 6-speed manual RWD gearbox, the bell-housing has been professionally modified (alloy TIG welded) to fit a Volvo B5254T3 engine. I'm not a Volvo expert but I think that means it will fit any of the alloy block "modular" engines.

The gearbox was bought as a job lot from an unfinished rally car project. It would suit a project fitting a modern engine into a older RWD drive car. I've no idea of value - it's such a specialist thing.

I'm new to the forum, and I don't see any signs of "modifying" on this forum so not sure if this will be of interest to anyone. I'll post some photos once I've worked out how!

Ah, but I did as I had email notifications on the topic

That particular gearbox sold on ebay some time ago - possibly the year ago that Simon mentioned.

I do have a M90 which I'm about to put up for sale, but I'll probably keep it in a single lot with the B5254T3 T5 I have.

Sorry, I haven't posted here enough to send PMs yet. But I'll take some photos tomorrow and upload them.

From memory I have:
  • T5 whiteblock engine from a Ford Focus ST
  • Some of the loom from an ST - ECU, cables for injectors, coils, etc.
  • Starter motor
  • Early turbo manifold modified to face the opposite way for RWD use
  • Later turbo manifold
  • Early turbo
  • M90 gearbox, with gearstick and some of the clutch hydraulics

What I don't have is an engine sump - the original was modified for fitting to a non-Volvo engine bay, while trying to modify it again for my project it was damaged, so the buyer would need to source a better one.
