Default Thule/Konig XG-12 Pro Snow chains

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone who has a requirement for snow chains has a set of these? I'm aware of the limited clearance issue, however, these say they are designed for 4x4/SUV with limited clearance.

Anyone have a set (of these chains) alternatively it's Michelin Easy Grip oe considerably more expensive side mounting affairs.

I did a lot of research on V90 snow chain options earlier in the year as need some for a ski trip to Austrian Alps in February. Same limited clearance issue as the XC60 but decided in the end to go with the recommended but pricey Thule K-summits as didn't want to risk any issues if they were actually needed in anger (had visions of being stuck in the dark with chains wrapped round the suspension half way up an Austrian mountain)!

However, as I found, you're looking at the wrong time of year - I was also unwilling to accept paying £325 plus, but as I had a while to wait, put a saved search in ebay which eventually came up with a pair listed in May/June time (had been fitted but never used). Demand was clearly fairly low at that time of year so only paid about £60 plus postage. If I ever sell them, will list them just when the next beast from the east is due and 'snowmageddon' is predicted!
