when i replaced my c70 battery i was informed by the volvo dealer that there are 2 different batterys listed for my car dependant on what spec and extras it has . sat nav bliss reverseing sensors auto or manual .ect . make sure that your battery is the correct one . my replacement battery cost £84 with my local volvo club dicount

Thanks, 80 or 85 aH, I think, from memory. The manual sort of lists the spec requirements, but I’ll need to check more closely, as my car seems to have ‘feet’ in both camps!

Update:

1. It seems the fault was with the flasher switch! It was looked at today by an indie Volvo garage, and it seems OK now....

2. I had decided to sell the car, (already sorted a replacement), and mentioned it to the owner today. Turns out his wife had been looking for a C70 for ages, and mine fit the bill exactly. So I haven’t had to p/ex.

whats your new car going to be? its shame you had trouble with your c70 as they are usualy fairly trouble free. good luck with your new car

It’s a Skoda Octavia 1.4 TSI SE L.

Totally different vehicle, about the only common thing is it has 4 wheels! (Auto not manual, saloon not vert, petrol not diesel, 4 door not 2, etc)

I’ll still hang about on here,though, if I may! 🤫

Well, it’s gone! And I have to say, when it was behaving it was brilliant, but all too often it wasn’t behaving, unfortunately.

Can’t remember the last time I was without a car (Although I still have the 3 wheeler)

But I pick the Skoda up tomorrow...
