This sounds a bit like either a dirty MAF sensor or even blocked air filter. If you disconnet it when the engine is warm and the performance improves, then it's kaput.
Slight chance it's a fuel filter, BUT if you don't get the codes read there are many other possibilties.

On these engines disconnecting the maf sensor wont improve the power its defaulted powerless when the ecu receives a maf value outside the expected range
Maybe the slightly less vacuum will not place the vnt in de optimal position to create the maximum turboboost
Check the turboboost with the torque-app boost at max power with this engine should be 1.3 bar above absolute pressure

if its below that value check the vnt itself if its easy to move or sticking
If thats okay check on leaks on the pressureside of the turbo hoses intercooler etc
Also check the intakehose of the turbo ,on that specific engine they can become soft and collaps on max suction wich cuts of air

I'm having problems with turbo boost and hesitation to accelerate up steep hills with my caravan on. If this is normal is there anything else i can/should check on the vacuum side. The mounts are not leaking as i still get 20 Ins hg after the vacuum control valve for the engine mounts and this is working as it cuts off vacuum to the mounts above 1200 rpm (ish).
I first need to make sure the vacuum pressure is what it should be or is it a bit on the low side. The car drives fine solo with no fault codes but performance has definitely dipped off when towing.
yes a bit on the low side , should be over 25 " hg or higher , you wont have enough vacuum to work the turbo control properly .. what have you got at the thicker brake servo vacuum pipe ?

The intake hose is new. I will check the MAF then have another used original here. So then I at least can see if there is any differents.
I also have a bluetooth-reader I bought from ebay. Have never tried it. Whitch app do I need to use this?
