it is illegal to display a white light anywhere except straight ahead ( or when reversing of course . You are inviting people to hit you by mistaking your orientation , and you would be liable !

only if you were daft enough not to get teh 1.8 volvo engine one
(with VVT system, rather than coke up faster than a celebrity on lockdown GDi )

as LoB says, if you dont want them take the bulbs out, no need to go smashing them and putting the remains in, keep em as spares for the side lights ,same bulb

Emm, not on mine.? Even instrution manual for 2005-2008 specifies sidemarkers are 5w5.

3W sidemarkers were for old S40, the one from my pic above - 5W indeed were burning the sockets out!

Tail lamps, Position/parking lamps, Side marker lamps W5WLL

from the handbook for my V50

i replaced mine with LED options when the one popped, (as i had led versions left over from changing the interior bulbs)

your spot on for the S40 LoB posted photos of , my S40 with the side markers came With 5w bulbs, melted units,, which is why they all were replaced & correct bulbs in

So the little 'orange' markers on the front should be 3W only?

Guess who's just fitted 5W capsules?
