Talking T16 turbo on a Standard 850 t5?

Hi there, was just wondering as ya do, would my Standard 850 T5 auto, benifit in performance if i replaced the TD04HL 15g turbo with a T16 turbo?? is it worth changing over?
Would there be a increase in power? or wouldnt i notice any difference as the ecu would still be programed running the 15g unit?
