2.0i self servicing question
I'm going to service my car in the next few weeks (found a ramp hire place near Glasgow).
Just wondering what size socket the sump plug is? Just want to be sure I have the right socket before I book a time in with the ramp hire guy. Thanks!

13mm AF … you need to renew the sump plug each time , it comes with a new seal .. ( A Ford idea ) If you change the air filter make sure you change the foam breather sponge piece in the bottom of the air filter housing as well.

Got a part number for the breather sponge if a K&N air filter doesn't come with one? Planning to do this separately as access is only needed from the top so I could do that whenever.

Confirming it was a 13mm spanner! Very easy oil change using a hired car lift

The hardest part of the oil change is faffing about with the undertray, why don't they fit small 'door' for you to reach the sump nut. After the first 4 years from new the undertray fixings begin failing and need replacing with a combination of cable ties, washers, anything....
