The swirl flaps are brand new and working perfectly.

I've just driven the car to work and I now have boost again and seemingly normal performance. I am now noticing a slight whistle as the boost builds and according to the on board computer it's doing about 25mpg

I think I'll drop the under tray off it today and have a look at the inlet pipe which runs under the engine, see if there's anything afoot there ...

I have had this code twice .
Check all clips that are on the pipes on the intake side are right.
I had the slightest of leaks due to one clip not tight enough.

Well .... this morning was interesting.

Thank you guys for all your advice.

I took the under tray off today and checked all the turbo pipes under the engine and up to the turbo .... all lovely ...

Then I removed the small tray under the radiator / intercooler to check for oil / leaks ....

Well .... it's fair to say it's barely holding together, even at idle theres a gentle hiss of air escaping. When the engine is revved up it's like the cooling fan has come on

So ..... looks like it's the intercooler!!

As much as I'm not looking forward to doing the job or spending the money on a new one I am at least glad that there's a good chance it'll solve all my problems!!

Check out ,my next thread ....... any guesses what it'll be?

On the plus side, I had a chance to look at the lower engine tie bat ..... it's seen better days!!
