940 Estate for Sale

Hi All,

Once again it's that time where I'm getting ready to say goodbye to another of my well loved Volvos. My Volvo, 940, Estate, 1995, Manual, 2316 (cc), 5 doors. I inherited her when I lost my father six years ago and would dearly love to keep her and bring her back to life. Unfortunately a suitable premises to work in and a wee bit of a problem with my ever increasing age are both against me!

Anyway, I posted an ad on Gumtree and, to be fair, have had a pretty poor response. Three potentials. It might be that the Gumtree buyers don't really know what I really mean by the £1234.56 price tag even although I said: "First reasonable offer will secure this classic car". When I post an item for sale I always say it exactly how it is...

Obviously, my first choice would be to find her a loving home as a restoration project. Should that fail then I will have to seriously consider scrapping her as I feel I cannot start breaking for spares and I do not want her sitting here for another year. Hi Mark,
I ended up taking my gumtree ad off when somebody offered £550 cash. It turns out they were a complete chancer. Looked at her, kicked some tyres and said he would only pay me £100! No deal as I've already got a £250 scrap price for her. I'd rather not scrap her as she is full of spares for some other project but with offers like that...
