Disconnect the CEM plug and physically check the connections for corrosion.
That coupled with multiple fault codes across multiple modules points to the CEM connections being at fault.

Lots of threads about the issue on the forum.

Good news……CEM removed and dried out, and all back to normal!

No signs of any corrosion so looks like the issue was caused by the garage”s enthusiastic leak test.

My relief was palpable.

Your car should be able to withstand a soaking and you reported standing water before the garage even looked at it so I'd fix the source.

Forgot to add...they found debris blocking the drains behind the scuttle panel so hopefully that's the issue.

Shame they didn't check and unblock the drain before soaking the CEM.
Would have saved the panic.

To giw12: with the knowledge you have gained that a blocked drain causes rainwater to overflow and go to unwanted areas, I would recommend that you keep your drains clear, and that you pay attention to removing leaves that collect at the bottom of the windscreen before it becomes a problem.

Exactly this problem also occured on my daughter's Renault, except that the stupid Renault has a design requiring removing the scuttle panel, other panels, and removing both windscreen wiper motors to access the (completely blocked) drain tubes.

Both were totally blocked. Her water problem happened at a car wash.
After clearing the drains, it has never happened again.
And I kindly told her to take more care of her car...

I had this on my 2005 car, really does make an amazing sound as the water rushes back to front. The carpet in the driver's footwell was very wet, but nothing compared to when I took it out. There is about 3-4 inches of foam sound damping material fixed to the carpet which took a month to dry out.
I had cleaned out the scuttle and added some sealant and all is good. I did give it the hose pipe test and happy it has not returned.
