2021 August - Sensus navigation update problem
Currently my Jan 2016 V60 is running Europe 32319053 AA
So my system is 2014 (with globe) I download Sensus_Update_MCA_Europe.exe version 1.3.0.9 Download is normal, Europe naturally, and I can verify the USB stick no problem So I plug into the car with Navigation open and nothing happens upon inserting the USB stick I check the DBINFO.ME file and see the USB holds version Europe 32319055 AA Where do I do from here? A music USB stick works fine so the USB port functions ok. I have updated my XC60 2016 plate twice with no problems when I did mine I had to use a usb stick that had nothing else on it and each time I did mine I inserted the usb stick before starting the car and it picked up the update when the entertainment system started up hope this is of some use to you

I've tried with the USB stick in before starting the ignition (I ran around for a few days with it in) and inserted it with the car running. No change.
I've also done a couple of successful updates in the two years I've had the car but this time it just doesn't work. As I only have the one 32GB USB stick I know I'm trying the same USB stick even. I suspect I'll give up for 3 months then try again.

The new type cars from 2016 are over 50Gb now and take about an hour to load into the car. It wont be long until we have google street view with each building being shown in it's picture form !

“I've also done a couple of successful updates in the two years I've had the car but this time it just doesn't work. As I only have the one 32GB USB stick I know I'm trying the same USB stick even.” I have done the updates quite a few times over the last few years with the same 32gb USB stick, each time totally deleting and emptying the deleted folder each time, BUT it didn’t work for this update “32319055“. To get this one to work, I had to reformat the USB stick and it worked fine. I hope this helps and works for you.

After formatting and reformatting my 32GB stick trying to fix this issue it's no longer working so not impossible that it was in some way failing.
Alas I have no similar sized stick to try so will park this for the moment.

About time to ditch the USB stick and go OTA via home WiFi. Much quicker, much less faff.
If that is not available then the dealer can always plug in when the car is in for service. Some people do not use Windows or MacOS, OTA updates via WiFi would fix that too.

OTA would be perfect but I guess opens up security issues.
In any case a newly ordered USB stick worked perfectly so at least that's sorted

Hi Mark 2456. I've got a 2015 volvo v60. And it downloads fine on a USB stick, but it does nothing when I plug it into the car. Have you manged to get yours sorted out. Thanks
