Erratic or faulty rain sensor wipers V90
Hi all. My rain sensor wipers keep turning themselves off (without my turning them off or knocking the stalk), and then decide to come on after that (with the symbol no longer illuminated) seemingly at random. Software glitch? Can I do some sort of hard reset on the infotainment and see if it makes it work properly or would Volvo need to do that?

Modules have been known to fail.in the past.
Your description could be explained by putting the stalk into the intermittent position, but if you are sure you haven't moved the stalk then potentially the switch module is faulty.

Makes a change from the normal (working) operation of
1) Randomly dry-wiping 2) Wiping slowly in heavy rain 3) Wiping at superhuman speed in a light drizzle 4) Being very noisy

Cheers all. Might risk a new stalk as it works fine when it’s on, it just decides to turn itself off from time to time. Doable at home or garage job?

Its likely gonna need to be a garage job as the new stalk will probably need to be coded to your car to allow it to communicate correctly.

Automatic Wipers not working in 2021 AAOS V90
My wipers will not work in automatic. When I press the Automatic wiper button on the stalk of my Oct 2021 V90, the automatic wiper icon comes on in the driver display, the wipers run once and then never again, no matter how much water on the windshield and the position of the rotating intensity button.
I feel this needs to be a software bug as the button on the stalk is working, since the icon on the driver display comes on. In my old V60 a green light would also come on in the button but this stalk does not appear to have the light. Anyone else experiencing this problem? |

My 2021 V60 has 3 and 4 in Polestar Pete's list of odd auto wiper behaviour. Number 3 (crazy wiper speed in light rain) only started in the last few months, so perhaps there's a way to recalibrate it? Can't find anything in the manual and service due soon so will see if the dealer has any ideas.

Ditto. Only ever known this bizarre behaviour with Volvo. Dealers response is “it’s normal” 🙄🤣
