Yes, that's the important thing here - i) 960 mk1 and mk2 are obviously different A-pillar forward ii) 960 mk1 and 940 have the same front lights

For 960, mk1/mk2 facelift took effect from September 94 (95 model year) and obviously brought in the big changes. For 96 model year (effective September 95) there were only minor updates.
