Default XC100 will be the largest Volvo car ever produced

The XC100 that will debut in 2022 will be 5,48 m long and will be the biggest Volvo car ever produced. It will be longer than the current BMW X7.
The XC100 will not be a coupe version and will compete with the GLS and X7.
Engines will be mild and plugin hybrids.
Price will be above 80.000£.

I think this is delayed April 1st. A bit like the delayed Masters because of you know.

It’s the width and the weight that I most object to. You already have enough range rovers that are too used to drive in the middle of country lane with no steering accuracy to actually fit into their lane and have a stopping distance of a locomotive. Long range BEVs made it worse and now they are supersizing everything to justify the massive batteries and plug in hybrid weight penalties.

rather doubt it.

It won't make much commercial sense for Volvo as a low volume producer.

It's more like an automotive journalist wet dream

Assuming this xc100 is in addition to the new SPA2 xc90, I hope it means that they will now be more restrained and not oversize the Mk3 XC90 as the current one is plenty long enough and CERTAINLY wide enough for uk usage
