Default V40T souds like camper van on full lock (when moving 'n puling off..)

Any suggestion as to why my engine sounds like shi*te when the steering is on/ more or less on full lock and pulling away??

Once I straighten her up the engine seems to relax and goes quieter.

Another vague symptom post, i know, but it's niggling me...

ALSO(!!!) is a turbo kick in delay normal on a V40T? There is what can only be described as a short delay of nothingness (on the accellerator) upon changing gear and then it kicks in...lasts a second or two, and then that's it...

Any suggestions greatfully appreciated.

Had a similar problem on a vauxhall disastra turbo diesel it turned out to be the bearings on the power steering pump making a din and the vibration and noise being dissipated through the engine. Only heard it pulling away on full lock or parking on full lock. Most Turbo Diesels have a delay to the turbo kicking in as the engine speed has to be above a certain amount of revs for the turbo to work.

If its a T4 you will be able to feel some turbo lag maybe a couple of seconds, if its a 2.0t then you may or may not as i've driven a few that have and a few that haven't,
