Default Headphone help

Anyone know if I can listen to headrest DVD players using standard 3.5mm Jack Headphones? The car came with a 2 into 1 lead but I don't see anywhere to plug it in. It does not have pillar box which I gather some do.

If not it does have the Thomson 863mhz wireless transmitters. Where is the cheapest place to get a couple pairs?

Hi, not sure what dvd you have. Interface will depend on that,

There is the standard international 1 X dvd player in the armrest, another in the head lining and the third a UK specific 10 dvd system with the Thompson audio. These are the only ones I know we're fitted by Volvo.

I can help with the latter but not familiar with the others.

It is the 3rd option. Has the 10 disc changer in the boot.

In that case, lift the left quadrant in the boot. It will reveal an assembly fastened down with one bolt.

Remove that bolt and carefully pull the assembly out taking care not to snag cables.

Look at the rear of that assembly and you will see a silver domed unit. This is the Thomson audio transmitter

If is fed with a 12 v jack and an audio plug. If you remove and extend this then ... There you go!

Some have replaced this transmitter with another matching transmitter and headphones.

So again, there you go!

Cheers
