Default Remapping a D4

I'm a bit put off the D5 due to the PP hose issue so wondering if anyone has remapped a D4?

In other cars I have considered a tuning box but never actually did it, but a decent remap maybe.

Anyone got any experience on a volvo, its quite common in VAG's.

I have remapped all my cars over the last 10 years, the only advice I would say is go for a reputable mapping company I’ve used superchips and never had an issue, they are not always the highest figures but do make sure your vehicle is drivable, I cover 100k miles with a remapped e46 330D and even when I sold it with 130k it still amazed me and pulled like a steam train. If driven normally still delivered 50+ mpg

As above, 'tuning boxs are quite often useless at best, harmful at worst. Use a reputable company and you should be ok.

I went with the Polestar remap, mine was 205hp before and 225hp after. I would have to find the print to find the torque, think it went up about 40Nm. The best is the mpg... 70mpg all day long in cruise at 70 on m'may. 40mpg round town on short trips.

Is this a 5-cylinder D4 or a 4-cylinder D4? They're different engines.

Also, in what car with what transmission?

from 2010 the designation D4 etc is not an engine designation .. It describes a bhp POWER range D3 125 - 150 , D4 would be around 150 - 200 bhp D5 200 to 250 for example ...

@Zidane

Is it that you are considering buying a Volvo?

If so, then what have you been looking at?
