Default Geely launching Lynk & Co brand in UK.

Geely (the owners of Volvo) have announced it will launch its Lynk & Co brand in the UK in 2018.

They will be sold online and through Geely owned outlets, car will be delivered directly to the customer with - maybe - Volvo dealers handling aftersales activity: the model called the 01, based on Volvo XC40 architecture will be the first car to be launched.

The cars are European engineered and have a great deal of Volvo content, Geely are hoping to build 500.000 units a year.

I don't know really, It's a bit like most SUV they all kind of look the same. it could be a ford or GM/Vxhall/opel(insert car brand name) but it isn't.
it's made in China (ok everything made there) but are we going to get the sublime quality build or the not really right knock off lookie like build quality, but then I said that about Skoda and I had two Superbs and loaded 500,000 miles between the two trouble free motoring so who knows.

Ryan69, I trust the Czechs to make good products. I don't trust the Chinese in the same way. This brand will need to work hard to earn European sales. It may not be bothered, the home market may be enough for it to be a success.

Hi Bob.

Trust you are well. I didn't actually Google it (when I began the thread), I'm a member of an automotive network and the details dropped into my inbox.

I only posted it because I thought it might be of interest - glad it was.

Best, Jon.
