Volvo platform designations

I've seen a few references to P1, P2, etc., on here. Is there a handy reference to these, presumably, platform designations?

As far as the v70 and derivitevs are concerned.
P1 the original v70 that superseded the 850, built from about 1998 till 2002/3 and used the Audi derived 5 pot engines in the diesels

P2 the curvier model that superseded the P1 built from 2002/3 till 2007, early ones used the Audi derived TDI engine then swapped to the Volvo common rail engine, again 5 pot in the diesel D5/4

P3 curvier still and based on the ford mondao mk4 body shell and running gear, built between 2008 and 2015/6 D5/4 used the Volvo 5 pot engines some garments being 2.4 litres others 2.0 litres, D3/2 used ford 4 pot engines but I know little of these varients other than a manager whom had a 1.6 litre version telling me " you dont want one of these".

Sure someone will be along shortly to tell us where I've got it wrong.

Pretty much covered above I think the P2 ran until 2008, you see the odd P2 S60 on an 09 plate but I think they stopped them on MY08.

The P3 is sometimes called Y20 on the current 60 models. P3 is EUCD in Ford speak which was originally known as C1-Plus, the Y20 was shared with Land-Rover.

roughly agree with the above on V70's
P1 = 96-00, P2 = 00-07, P3 = 07-16, there is a slight oddity in as much as what we're calling the P1 V70 was built on the same basic chassis/shell as the 850 which was actually the P80, but I think we all recognise it as Phase 1, 2 or 3.
Interestingly looking at V40's at the moment the older 95-04 model is designated as just V40, but the later 2012+model is V40(P1) as many later Volvo models share the FordC1VolvoP1 chassis.
