BUT

You are very brave to except the car back as it is a well know scam for someone to buy a car with stated faults (or even no faults) swap a few parts over onto their own car, and I personally know of one case where an whole engine was swapped on one car and all the wheels/ tyres on another, buyer then claims a fault and wants his money back. you take back the car and give full refund. buyer has a new set of tyres or 'new' air con system etc.
hi i was actually worried about something like that, but he did say he wanted money back very soon after buying (20min after) and that's another reason why i insisted that the car was brought back the same day,

i think his story is credible though, i mean he even filled up half a tank of fuel. on an old cheapish car like this i doubt there's really anything that's worth going through all that trouble, to save a couple of £ on.

i mean, to me the car is as it is when i had it (and even when he test drove it)

now that im listening harder i can hear a small knocking on 1 side, but i would guess this has always been there, and for whatever reason as people said here; i think he just had a case of buyer's remorse
